The main reason to have a business online
on the internet is, not only to reach more people as potential customers, but
also
to put your business on autopilot an automate the entire process, so that you
don't have to do much of anything other than
automatically generate more & more traffic that converts into more & more
money.
To help automate your business their are a few tools you need. One tool you
need is an auto-responder which sends your clients
information they request, products & freebies they order, & all digital items
instantly & automatically.
When someone opts-in to your list via a form they fill in, an auto-responder
takes them to a 'thank you' page you created,
thanking them for opting-in for a e-course or something, also maybe with a
link for them to click on to download & receive
freebies you may have offered them. This same auto-responder also will takes
their information & send it to you the owner
letting you know someone opted-in, then at the same time it starts delivering
the opt-in prospect a newsletter, e-course or
whatever info they requested, to their email account on certain intervals
(daily, weekly, etc) until the prospect has
received an the information you promised them.
You should try to have your web site visitors opt-in to your list before they
reach your sales page. This way you can follow
up with them with emails trying to "warm them up" to you & your products. It
could take as much as 7 or more contacts from
you to get them to buy from you.
You can also use resources like paypal to automate your selling process, which
can process orders on autopilot & after
receiving the customer's money for an order they place, it will send them to
another 'thank you' page you created, which also has a link for them to click
on to download the info-products they ordered. This way you have a web site which processes
orders on autopilot & delivers any digital products on autopilot...meaning
hands-free so you don't touch anything.
Steps to automating your business...
1. provide valuable content to get the traffic
2. allow your web site visitors to opt-in to your list for valuable free
content (report, e-course, newsletter, etc)
3. on the 'thank you' page (after they opt-in) give them a free download
4. in the opted-in email series you send them, give them offers & a chance to
buy from your site.
5. when they do buy from you, on the other 'thank you' page (after they make a
purchase), give them multiple offers &
downloads.
ex) a guy opts-in to a list on a site,
they are then sent to a 'thank you' page (with free download), the 'thank you'
page gives them an offer;
if they take that offer, it sends them to another 'thank-you' page with a
'one-time' offer;
if they take that offer, it sends them to yet another 'thank-you' page with a
'thank you' offer;
if they take that offer, it sends them to another 'thank-you' page with a
'limited-time' offer.
You need to continuously stretch buyer momentum. Set up a very efficient & effective sales
process to convert your prospects into buyers,
& those one-time buyers in multiple-time buyers.
So, in summary, with an automate internet business that is totally
hands-free...
- You have a merchant account set up (through paypal or whoever) set up that
automatically accepts the payment.
- Your web site is up & working 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
- You have an auto-responder service that handles all the requests for
information on autopilot, 24 hours a day.
- When people want to make a purchase, your online merchant account accepts &
approves the transactions for the purchase for
you on autopilot so you are not even there to do it.
- If this is a physical product, the fulfillment house gets the order &
delivers the product to them on autopilot without you
touching anything.
- If it's a digital product, your Thank You page with your auto-responder
delivers to them the digital products that they have
purchased & you do not even need to be present to do anything.

All of this is on autopilot. The only thing you have to do is generate more
traffic to your web site.
The way to generate cash-flow is to create offers & upsell customers you have
& try to turn prospects into customers so they
buy from you.
If people don't buy from you & don't opt-in to your list, you may not see them
again.
If they don't buy but they did opt-in to your list, you now have many more
chances to follow-up & try to get them to buy from
you.
If they did buy from you, say thank you, follow-up, & try to sell them more.
To sell more, you can give previous customers or even just prospects many
chances to buy through offering a "One-time Offer",
a "First Time Subscriber Offer", a "Thank You Offer", a "Bonus Offer", a
"Bundled Offer", a "Last Chance Offer", "Surprise
Offer", or a "Limited Time Offer".
You want to provide products that are valuable enough that they keep buying
from you.
